Peidi Wang’s miniature ceramic animals are delightful works of artistry and imagination. The woodland creature series is a playful approach to storytelling of animals in the forest. Capturing the detail of the environment, the movement the animals make, and the expression of the faces.
Care & Use: For decorative use only. The surface of each sculpture is made with thin and fragile porcelain. Please handle by the base and with care.
Material: Porcelain is used for the main body of the piece. She incorporates other material such as metal or wool to create different textures on the surface. As she sculpts out layers of details during different moisture stages, she uses engobe and underglaze to decorate her work.
