Description

” I have always loved expressing myself with my hands. Although I love poetry and reading and the spoken language, I have never been able to express myself the way I want to unless I do so visually…making something with my hands, whether it is drawing, painting, sewing, and especially shaping lovely malleable clay to represent what I want to say. My style is Expressionist, i.e. partly realistic but with underlying emotional impact. Teapots are what I love best, along with planters and sculptures. Although these items have a functional purpose in most cases, they also represent other imagery and feelings that are somehow connected to them. My style is also very ‘loose’, so that each piece is open to interpretation.”
