Artist Statement:
The organic form of The Slip Vase is enlivened with gestural slip and underglaze painting. The dimensionality and softness of slip pairs well with the intensity of underglaze pigment. Ceramics offer a multi-planar canvas for gestural surface decoration. The vase transforms in use and in the context of home and can be turned or angled to compliment of contrast with its environment. – Lindsay Gravelle
