Each art work of Kerri’s tells a light hearted story on the importance of environmental stewardship. Reminding us of the natural environment we live in through the imagery that is decorated onto the surface. She does this by employing the sgraffito technique, “to scratch” in Italian, she lays underglaze/glaze onto the surface and waits until it dries before “scratching” imagery onto the surface using a wire/ribbon tool. The stoneware clay enhances the look by giving it a patina, like a good pair of worn-in jeans. Both functional and decorative each piece is carefully hand crafted and one-of-a-kind.
Care & Use: All functional pieces are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe (unless otherwise specified). Handwashing is advised. Avoid extreme temperature changes, and use on stovetop. Not intended for roasting.
