Description
I enjoy making large, coiled vessels the most. There is a calming, meditative way of working large and using coils. I also enjoy throwing and will soon be attempting to use a Korean Onggi wheel, which is a non-electric pottery wheel used for creating large vessels. My inspiration comes mostly from the ancient potters and ancient techniques used all over the world. I love Raku firing and barrel/pit firing, and the community of potters who perform these firings. – Kathy Verbeek
