Description

Gwen Friedman’s aesthetic strongly influences her work. Expressing through subtle, natural hues, and surfaces of unglazed ‘naked’ clay. While the exterior is left unglazed to evoke the tactile textures of natural clay, the interior is glazed to ensure they are food safe. Hand crafted using both wheel thrown and hand-building techniques, each piece will slightly vary in colour, size, weight, and style.

Care & Use: Dishwasher, food, and liquid safe.

About The Artist

Gwen Friedman

Gwen Friedman works out of her downtown Toronto studio, where she produces delicate, functional ceramic art. She was born in southern Africa, and trained at the Kim Sacks School of Ceramics in Johannesburg, South Africa. She was the recipient of the 2021 Craft Ontario Award of Excellence, at the Toronto Potters’ Biennial Juried Exhibition.
