Description

Charlie Larouche-Potvin relationship with molten matter has taught him the art of Murano glass.  He explores forms inspired by the Venetian tradition in a harmonious manner.  The technical precision he executes on each functional piece is based on proportion, construction, and balance.  The goblet collection represents the aesthetic world of the supernatural found in games, films, and books.

Care & Use: Goblets may contain food and drink.  Please hand wash with care and do not put in dishwasher or microwave.

About The Artist

Charlie Larouche-Potvin

Montreal-born Charlie Larouche-Potvin is a glassblower, artist, and designer. He graduated from Espace Verre in 2020 where he remained until 2022 as a member of the Fusion atelier. He has trained at the Corning Museum of Glass and in Murano, Italy, where he began his ongoing work with Maestro Davide Fuin. He has continued to travel internationally, serving as associate-in-residence at the Jam Factory in Adelaide, Australia and visiting artist at Sheridan College, Ontario and at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Virginia. His expertise has also earned him several scholarships, prizes, and mentions. In 2024 he was awarded the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery’s RBC Award in Glass as well as the François Houdé Award from the city of Montréal. He is now artist in residency at the Harbourfront Centre.
