Description
Annette ten Cate first got her start in clay at the Guelph Sculpture Group about eighteen years ago. With her passion for clay, she enrolled and studied full time at Sheridan College in Oakville. After she graduated Annette was accepted into a year-long residency at Medalta’s International Artist in Residence program in Alberta’s Historic Clay District. It was there she refined her practice and changed her focus from the human figure to local wildlife. Hand building each piece with earthenware clay and using selective wooden tools.
Care & Use: The work is decorative and non-functional. To clean lightly dust each piece.
