Description
Alison Brannen observes the ebb and flow of water and wind when sailing on lakes and oceans. The deep blues and earthy saggar fired textures echo the dynamic relationship between form and surface. Saggar firing is a type of firing process where protective containers are made to shield from direct flame or heat. With combustible materials added for creating special effects on the surface.
Care & Use: Imperfections and fine surface cracks are the result of the firing process. They are intentional and part of the beauty. Some pieces have kintsugi gold repair lines, which enhance the quality and timelessness of the piece. All saggar fired pieces are decorative and not intended to hold water or food. Dust or wipe with a cloth for cleaning.
