Thomas Aitken and Kate Hyde collaborate on ceramics that unite Thomas’s strong forms and Kate’s interest in colour and surface embellishment. This work is designed to be both highly practical and visually intriguing. Their eclectic and playful imagery reference a variety of sources including the history of ceramics, theatre, poetry and textiles.
The mugs are exclusive to the Gardiner Museum Shop for the Museum’s 40th anniversary. Each mug’s design is based on a piece from the permanent collection.

Care & Use: Their pieces are both decorative and functional. They are dishwasher and microwave safe. However, washing by hand is recommended to ensure the longevity of the piece.
