LUprints: Ulla Clark
LUprints is founded by principal designer Ulla Clark. Trained in industrial screen printing by both fine art printers as well as textile printers. Both in Canada and the United States. Ulla has been printing full-time since 2005 in her screen printing studio, where she began her printing career with a t-shirt printing business. This led her to launch a line of home textiles in 2006.
Ulla’s inspiration comes from her childhood. Growing up with a Swedish mother she frequented family visits to Sweden and grew a fondness for table runners and textiles. Drawn to the pleasing simplicity that nature provides us. Trees, birds, flowers and mountains have become a consistent theme in her work. Her strong connections to nature, as well as her memories of the beautiful yet functional linens, are a constant inspiration for new products and prints.
