Creating functional art to enhance everyday life and sculptures to represent current and ongoing social issues, Ann aims to give attention to time and relationships. Being drawn to the intricacies and contrasts in nature, she aims to incorporate them in her works, utilizing rich earthy glazes and stains. Ann’s functional works include platters, bowls, batter bowls, mugs, vases, and so forth, while sculptures range in size, complexity and firing methods. Using traditional methods and glazes are combined with new technology to create distinctive pieces from woodfiring.
