SMASH is a night when the next generation of artists, art enthusiasts, and cultural philanthropists come together to celebrate the city’s vibrant arts scene and lower barriers for everyone to access hands-on art experiences.

SMASH: In Flux

Inspired by the major transformation underway at the Gardiner Museum, SMASH: In Flux invites you to explore experiences of personal and creative evolution through multidisciplinary art installations, fashion, food, drinks, music, and more. For the first time, SMASH will take over two floors of the Museum to create an immersive experience within the galleries.

Winnie Truong


Winnie Truong is a Toronto artist working with drawing and collage to explore ideas of identity, feminism, and fantasy along with a digital art and animation practice that includes public art and community engagement. She has exhibited across Canada, the US, and Europe with solo presentations at Volta New York Art Fair, Pulse Miami Art Fair and Art Toronto. Truong is a 2017 recipient of the Chalmers Arts Fellowship. Her work can be found in private collections, The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Overland Park, Kansas, Doris McCarthy Gallery at the University of Toronto, Bank of Denmark, EQ Bank, Canada Council Art Bank Collection, Scotiabank Fine Art Collection, RBC Art Collection, and TD Bank Corporate Art Collection.

Maxine McCrann


Inspired by her passion for community, food, wine, and all things bold and colourful, Toronto-based artist and illustrator Maxine McCrann’s work offers poetic depictions of life in Toronto, Detroit, and her native New York City. Through whimsical still lifes and figurative works, she aims to create art that transports both her audience and herself to the moments where we feel most connected. With a client list boasting the likes of The Drake Hotel, Shop Coat, and many more best-in-Toronto hot spots, Maxine has become one of the city’s most beloved artists.

Toni Darling Frank


Toni Darling of Toni Darling Frank is a Toronto-based ceramic artist whose work intertwines function with a distinctive style, creating beautiful objects that transform everyday rituals into moments of joy. Drawing inspiration from folk art traditions, Darling’s works are characterized by vibrant glazes, whimsical patterns, and an enduring sense of warmth. Her art invites users to find delight in the ordinary, turning simple objects into cherished companions in everyday routines.

Acid4Yuppies


Arnie Guha, Chief Innovation Officer at Phase5, is the multidisciplinary creative behind Acid4Yuppies, which focuses on experiential art works—from illuminated light boxes and electric murals, to psychedelics-inspired scarves and fine art prints. Guha’s ‘trippy’ works are complemented by an extensive body of minimalistic photography and portraiture. From vivid colours to subdued hues, Guha’s practice explores both realms of the visual experience from extreme intensity to soft suggestion.

DJ Dre Ngozi


Dre Ngozi is a DJ, multidisciplinary artist, music producer, host, and consultant. Canadian-raised, with Trinidadian and Nigerian roots, Dre is known for her ability to seamlessly flow through genres, from global club, house, bass, afro-house and more. Her unique music curation has lead her to headline major events like The Cavalcade of Lights, TIFF Boombox, and AGO Massive. She’s also opened for artists like Majid Jordan, Teyana Taylor, and The Internet. Dre has provided memorable sets for Boiler Room TV, Redbull Sound Select, NXNE, and has rocked the decks alongside heavy-hitters like on a global scale.
