Jing Han (Dale) Yang
Jing Han (Dale) Yang is a multidisciplinary artist working to envision familiar environments and objects by obscuring them. They are inspired by the banality yet visual maximalism of commercial media. Many of their works encroach on themes of interpersonal relationships and bodily autonomy. Clay is a natural medium for Yang to project their ideas on. It can be plastic yet rigid, capturing the permanence of an environment and the impermanence of memory. Their work has been exhibited at Visual Arts Mississauga, Sheridan College, and the Art Museum. Yang will be pursuing a Master of Fine Arts from Jingdezhen Ceramic University in September of 2023.
