In celebration of Hispanic / Latin American Heritage Month, join artist and socio-cultural facilitator Lourdes (Lumy) Fuentes Castillo and fellow artists from Canada Nos Une (CNU) and the Taller Talento Arte Sano (TTAS) for a hands-on, drop-in clay workshop where you’ll create pieces inspired by the annual Day of the Dead heritage celebration.
Participants will learn how to shape clay into objects traditionally featured on Day of the Dead altars, including calaveritas, alebrijes, Catrinas, candlesticks, and more! Participants are also encouraged to visit and take inspiration from the Gardiner’s Ancient Americas collection.
We recommend bringing a recycled container or bag in which to transport your work home.
