Community Arts Space 2019 Information Session
December 13, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Grounded in the real and metaphorical ability of clay to transform, the Gardiner Museum’s Community Arts Space is a platform for experimentation and socially-engaged art.
Established in 2016, the project connects artists, makers, organizers, and residents through the creation of public projects that inspire social action. We work within and beyond the gallery walls to re-envision what equitable community engagement looks like at a cultural institution.
Join us for this free information session to learn more about applying. Programs Manager Rea McNamara will discuss the public programming initiative in detail, including eligibility, the application process, and project feasibility. There will be a tour of the Exhibition Hall, as well as time for questions after the presentations.
Accessibility
The Gardiner Museum is an accessible venue with a ramp from the street leading up to the main lobby entrance. The entrance is accessible via two sets of double doors with an access button. The Information Session will take place on the first floor. Accessible restrooms are available on the third floor, which can be accessed via an elevator.
