Clay Activity: Wobbly Little Tea Cups
November 11, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Take inspiration from our new exhibition, Obsession: Sir William Van Horne’s Japanese Ceramics, this Family Sunday. Visit Sir Van Horne’s swarm of Japanese domestic cups, bowls, and vases—he was obsessed with them! The artists of these Japanese ceramics valued imperfection, meaning the pieces did not have to be perfectly round or smooth, and each little pot and cup is unique and beautiful on its own! Take a look, then come down to the Community Studio to make your own wobbly little pinch pot tea cup!
Admission is free for visitors 18 and under every day!*
*Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and each accompanying adult must purchase a general admission ticket. Children cannot be left unattended at any time.
