Clay Activity: Terracotta Warriors
September 22, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Discovered by a farmer in China in 1974, the Terracotta Army is a large collection of life-sized warriors and soldiers made from clay over 3,000 years ago. You can also find some incredible 3,000-year-old clay figures in our Ancient Americas Gallery. Can you spot them? What can they tell us about how people in the Ancient Americas lived? Make a sketch of your favourite object, then come to the Laura Dinner & Richard Rooney Community Clay Studio to try your hand at making your own terracotta figure!
Admission is free for visitors 18 and under every day!*
*Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and each accompanying adult must purchase a general admission ticket. Children cannot be left unattended at any time.
