Drop by the Laura Dinner & Richard Rooney Community Clay Studio for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Artist in Residence, Martina Lantin, at work. Martina is the first recipient of the new Gardiner Museum Artist Residency for established and mid-career artists. While at the Gardiner, Martina is undertaking an in-depth investigation into the regional and historical variations of the tin-glaze technique, its interplay with early European porcelain manufacturing, and the motifs decorators most frequently adapted across geography and time. The Gardiner Museum Artist Residency is made possible through the generous support of Dr. Pamela Goodwin.
